Hospitality Lighting Project

Lumenworks delivered lighting solutions across key hospitality spaces at Crowne Plaza Auckland, bringing warmth, depth and definition to the hotel’s refreshed interiors. From the lobby and reception through to the lounge, bar and dining areas, layers of architectural, ambient and feature lighting work together to highlight materials, define spaces and create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the day and into the evening.

Lighting design and specification across key public and hospitality areas, including the lobby, reception, lounge, bar and dining spaces, with lighting integrated throughout the interior architecture.

❋ Lighting Solutions

A layered combination of architectural, ambient and feature lighting was used throughout the project. Concealed and integrated lighting highlights walls, ceilings and joinery, while decorative and task lighting brings a softer, more intimate quality to lounge, bar and dining areas.

❋ Design Approach

The lighting was designed to work naturally with the architecture rather than compete with it. Warm illumination brings out the texture and materiality of the interiors, while integrated lighting helps define different zones and creates a comfortable transition between the hotel’s social, dining and arrival spaces.

The completed lighting scheme gives the hotel’s public spaces a warm and contemporary character, creating a clear sense of arrival while allowing each area to develop its own atmosphere. From the brighter lobby and reception to the more intimate bar and dining spaces, lighting helps connect the interiors into one cohesive guest experience.
